Names have been made alphabetical, though originally they were sequential. No attempt has been made to correct any names; with the following exceptions: Wm. to William; Jas to James; and Chas to Charles. These changes were made when either the index or the register had the complete spelling and the other had the abbreviated spelling. The complete spelling of someone's name is done in this transcription so that the SEARCH tool is more effective. (Search tool can be found on the HOME page)

Some names are spelled one way in the index, and another on the page. I've tried to include both spellings in the index.

NOTE: In later years of this Register, the person recording the names made MANY mistakes. This person could barely write and could NOT spell as well as previous recorders. I’d strongly urge you to be creative with the spellings of your Surnames in these latter recordings.
